Sker House was established by the monks of Neath Abbey in the 12th century, and then it was transformed into a Tudor house in 1539. Having been empty since the 1970s, it was in a state of disrepair when it was taken over by a conservation organisation, and it took £1.25 million and six years to turn it back into a home.
The house is now equipped with all mod cons, but as it was restored, rather than renovated, it has kept its unique style and charm.
