Programme 10

Overview

St Brides Hotel in Carmarthenshire has seen a formerly traditional seaside hotel transformed into a luxury stylish independent seaside retreat filled with stylish contemporary décor and artwork throughout.

Perched on a headland above Saundersfoot harbour and the golden beaches of Carmarthen Bay, the view grabs your attention from almost every angle of this marine spa hotel

Owners Andrew and Lindsey Evans will tell you "The hotel has been designed around the view." And design is the operative word; for the Evans's have overseen the wholesale remodelling of this hotel, with a £6 million investment bringing it bang into the 21st century.

History

Work started on the project in October 2004, and the multi-million pound revamp has seen a formerly traditional seaside hotel transformed into a luxury escape retreat. The multi-level sea view restaurant and terraces, perched high on the cliff top, were completed in May 2006, swiftly followed by the unique Marine Therapy Spa.

Features

Clean lines, muted tones, lavish bathrooms, timber flooring and subtle lighting - St Brides Spa Hotel really does tick all the contemporary boxes. Its rooms boast oak and walnut furniture by local craftsman, John Cusworth, bespoke ceramics by Francis Ceramics as well as throws and blankets by Melin Tregwynt. The downstairs Gallery Bar is an inviting space, with oak floors and deep leather sofas. You can also relax on the outside deck, watching fishermen returning with their catch to harbour. A chic, contemporary and stylish seaside retreat.
