A two-part special over Christmas will look back at the most memorable scenes from one of S4C's most popular programmes ever.
40 Uchaf C'mon Midffild will be a great opportunity to relive our top forty moments from the comedy series about a village football club in north Wales.
The producer of the programme is none other than John Pierce Jones, who played the football team's manager, Mr Picton. He's enjoyed looking through the C'mon Midffild archive while researching the show.
"It's been fun looking back at the programmes because they were filmed such a long time ago now," says John who lives in Cardiff with his wife and son.
But with so many memorable scenes, how does he go about choosing the top forty?
"Back in October, S4C repeated episodes of C'mon Midffîld asking people to name their favourite scene," explains John. "Also, I speak to organisations and associations quite often and I asked people at those meetings. The cast have also chosen their favourite scenes - so there will be a variety of opinions, I hope.
"It surprises me how popular the programme is today," said John. "But that period was like a dream because it was so successful. People who knew Mr Picton came up to me everywhere when the series was in its heyday - from Bangor to London and even in Los Angeles."
Nevertheless, reliving the series - and the period - has been a pleasure.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing the top forty on screen," he says. "There are some scenes people will expect to see but there are others, which are just as funny, which are not as well-known.
"Hopefully, the audience will get as much enjoyment watching 40 Uchaf C'mon Midffild as I've had making it."
