Something for everyone on new magazine show Gofod

Music, film, fashion, sport, art and TV - there's something for everyone in S4C's brand new twice-weekly magazine show, Gofod.

Two new faces will be taking the reigns on the programme, Elen Gwynne and Gethin Evans, and the pair can't wait to start their new jobs.

New presenters

"It's a totally new experience for me. I'm used to acting in front of the camera but presenting is a different kettle of fish," says Elen, who is best known for playing Susan in S4C drama series, Tipyn o Stad.

Her co-presenter is Gethin, a former drummer with Welsh bands Genod Droog and Yutacan. The two have grown up together - they were both pupils at Ysgol Eifionydd, Porthmadog and in college together so they know each other quite well.

Variety

In the first programmes, Elen and Gethin will follow members of a Young Farmers Club on a trip to London and preview the Bang Bangor Festival. They will also join actor Rhys Ifans on the set of his latest film in Spain, about the life of Welsh drugs baron, Howard Marks.

Elin Fflur, Ginge and Cello Boi and Gwibdaith Hen Fran will be giving musical performances during the first week and DJ Daf Du will also join the presenting duo in the studio.

As Elen and Gethin settle into their new surroundings in the warmth of the studio, a selection of Welsh celebrities will also be interviewed in the back of a taxi during the show.

Michael Williams, a real life taxi driver from Bethesda, will be chatting with some of Wales' best-known faces - starting off with radio personality, Jonsi.
