THE PRODUCTION TEAM

  • Geraint Evans - Editor

Geraint is Y Byd ar Bedwar’s editor since 2002. He’s worked as a reporter for the programme since 1994. As ITV Wales’ Editor of Welsh-language Programmes he leads the team which also produces Hacio, Cofio, Cefn Gwlad and the website Y Dydd.

  • Eifion Glyn - Reporter

Eifion began as a north Wales reporter for Y Byd ar Bedwar in 1986. He’s now been based in Cardiff for many years and reports on stories throughout Wales and the world. He’s recently worked in some of the most unstable countries on the planet, including Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. He says two of the programmes he’s worked on this year have been with the most difficult and emotional for him to deal with in his career – a report on the Haitian earthquake and the story of Elliw Llwyd Owen; who was very ill whilst waiting for organ transplants.

  • Sian Morgan - Reporter

Sian is one of Y Byd ar Bedwar’s reporters since 2006. In recent years she’s worked undercover on several programmes, including as a hostess in Tokyo whilst investigating the dangers of the industry. She also exposed Welsh puppy farms keeping dogs in appalling conditions in a two-part investigation. More recently, the Ammanford-born journalist again made waves as she stepped into the fiery debate on the Welsh Assembly Government’s controversial plans to cull badgers in west Wales.

  • Linda Parry - Journalist

In April this year Linda rejoined the ‘Byd ar Bedwar’ team after a three year break working on English language programmes with another broadcaster. She has worked in television and radio for eight years. Her first job in the media was with a newspaper in Caernarfon.

  • Gwyn Loader - Reporter

A member of Y Byd ar Bedwar’s team since 2008, Gwyn is now one of the programme’s reporters. He’s worked on several projects in the last few years including investigating claims of racism against some of the BNP’s leaders in Wales and challenging rugby’s authorities on the rise in injuries to professional players. In a recent report, he travelled to South Africa to ask whether staging the football World Cup there would benefit the nation’s poor.

  • Lewis Jones - Journalist

Lewis joined Y Byd ar Bedwar’s team in 2009 having previously worked on youth current affairs programme Hacio. He’s worked on several projects in his time with Y Byd ar Bedwar including working as a cameraman on a programme looking at the devastation caused by the Samoan tsunami in September 2009. More recently, he filmed a programme looking at whether hosting the football World Cup in South Africa would help tackle poverty in the country.

  • Ian Edwards - Reporter

Ian Edwards joined ITV Cymru in 2003 and has been a part of Y Byd ar Bedwar team since 2005. He has worked as a journalist with Trinity Mirror Newspapers and with the BBC. Ian is based at the programme's North Wales office in Caernarfon.
