In the new series of Byd o Liw, 12 contemporary artists will be portraying 6 different castles in Wales through 21st century eyes. Among the castles featured are the Welsh castles of Dolbadarn and Dinas Brân, and the Norman castles in Raglan, Caernarfon and Harlech.

In each programme, we will see well-known portraits of the locations, and two artists will bring their interpretation to bear on the castle and the landscape surrounding it.

Osi Rhys Osmond, the artist from Lansteffan, Carmarthenshire, will be leading the exciting artistic journey into the world of the castles as well as explaining the background of the original portraits.

Among the artists contributing to the series are familiar names Aneurin Jones and Ogwyn Davies, and new talent in the form of Elin Huws and Luned Rhys Parry.
