Using the inherent qualities of yarns, their richness and diversity, I create tapestry weavings that emphasise the relationships of textures, depth and tone, stillness and movement. The initial inspiration comes from the landscape and seascapes of Wales. Exploring ideas through drawing and painting, the work is metaphorical rather than being a direct translation of such scenes. There is always a land that is only a picture.
