Born and bred on Anglesey, Wil's work deals with its rural life and its people, also the land, the sea and the elusive thing in between. He works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, mixed media and graphite. He is also a printmaker, making etchings, linoprints and carborundum prints.
Wil’s work is diverse both in media and subject matter. Due to his farming background and his love of rural life, it is inevitable that his work is predominantly about the rural environment of Anglesey. This consists of landscapes with animals and buildings. Living near the sea he has recently become interested in the coastal theme and sometimes viewing the land from 'out there'. Boats and harbours and Parys Mountain are also themes that he regularly explores. As an extension of his work as a visual artist, Wil makes lino-prints, etchings and carborundum prints.
