Catrin Williams, originally of the Bala area in Gwynedd, but now based in the seaside town of Pwllheli on the north-west coast of the county, works mainly with pastels, textiles and a range of other materials in her multi-media work. Her themes are inspired both by the countryside where she was brought up and by the coast.
Catrin explains, “I really like Riley’s picture and it works really well as an advertisement for Aberystwyth. I must admit that I found this a challenging project. I’ve brought together a number of materials in order to convey all the elements in the picture. I’m interested in working on more landscapes from now on.”
Catrin’s new works will be exhibited to the public as part of a travelling art exhibition.
