Meirion was born in Cardigan and studied at the Dyfed College of Art. He paints figures, landscapes and seascapes. Meirion, who shares a studio with his father, world-renowned artist Aneurin Jones usually portrays people in his art.

Meirion explains. “What makes a picture for me are the people in it, and what I’m looking for is the story behind it. A picture for me is like the first paragraph of a short story where you set the scene, introduce the character and let the viewing public come to their own conclusions and finish the story.”

Meirion’s new works will be exhibited to the public as part of a travelling art exhibition.
