Between 25 and 30 June, the special series Y Sipsiwn will see Ifan Jones Evans and Shân Cothi take a journey in west Wales following in the footsteps of Wales’ Romany Gypsies.

They start in Llangrannog and will visit Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn, Crymych, Newportand Fishguard before ending in Rosebush on 30 June.

Each night they will be holding special free events for you to come along and be part of the journey.

 

Monday 25 June 6.30pm – Cardigan

An Evening of Food and Entertainment ar Cardigan Guildhall. Live Gypsy Jazz music, a performance by the Children of the Cardigan Festival and local food produce stalls.

 

Tuesday 26 June 6.15pm – Newcastle Emlyn

Poets and Poetry at Emlyn Hall. An evening of poetry in association with Literature Wales.

 

Wednesday 27 June 6.30pm – Crymych

‘It’s a Knockout’ at Crymych Rugby Club. Four local teams compete in ‘It’s a Knockout’. Food and drink on sale.

 

Thursday 28 June 7.30pm – Newport, Pembrokeshire

Beachside Party at Newport Boat Club. Live entertainment by Randwm and Lowri Evans. Food and drink on sale.

 

Friday 29 June 6.30pm – Fishguard

‘Twmpath’ and Gypsy Dancing at Glannau Gwaun School. Folk dancing and a performance by Dawnswyr Aelwyd Hafodwenog dancers. Food and drink on sale.

 

Saturday 30 June 4.30pm –Rosebush

Party at Tafarn Sinc. Celebrating the journey’s end with entertainment by Billy Thompson and his band, Robin Bowen and the Delyn Deires, and Dawnswyr Talog dancers. Food and drink on sale.
