Sergio Gutierrez is the head chef at the Safari Restaurant at Club La Costa Resort in Mijas, one of the most luxury resorts in the Costa del Sol.
"I'm honoured to be one of the judges," he said, and when asked if he had any tips for the contestants, he replied, "First, you have to have a real passion for food. And second, always take your time. Good food cannot be rushed."

When did you start cooking and what made you start?
My father is a great chef and I have grown up in the food world. My love affair with Andalucian cuisine started when I was barely tall enough to see over the kitchen counter. My family ran a successful restaurant in southern Spain and I was surrounded by chefs from an early age.
What is your one tip for budding chefs?
Be proud of what you cook.
