The second round tables have been cleared and the eight contestants face a host of Spanish recipies, meals and challenges.

An early start for Ronda and Cortijo Salinas, a home from home for some of the contestants, and a feast of food and dance awaits them!

A chance for the eight to taste what is in store: local jamon from Leocadio Corbacho Bocanegra (www.lacasadelijamon.es) and sherry from Bodega Sergio Flores (www.bodegaslasangrederonda.es).

Of course, no Spanish night is complete without some flamenco dancing and the contestants are joined by the Arte Cordobese dancers. But Dudley soon brings the party to a close with the first chalenge, preparing Albondigas, Spanish meat balls. A challenge for eight, but only seven will succeed as Gethin's journey comes to an end.

O Grove Seafood Festival

When: First fortnight of October, annually
Where: O Grove, Galicia (El grove)

The annual Fiesta de Exaltaciôn del Marisco attracts more than 220,000 people, and is widely regarded as the place to find some of Europe's best seafood.

The festival includes one of Europe's most established seafood trade fairs, the Feiramar, as well as several other fiestas dedicated entirely to specific types of seafood, such as mussels and torbut.

With the chance to sample some of Europe's best seafood and even get a free goody-bag comprising of mussels, crab and the catch of the day, the O Grove Seafood festival is not to be missed.

San Sebastián Food Bar

When: November, annually
Where: Palacio de Congresos del Kursaal, San Sebastián

An opportunity to witness some of Spain's best chefs competing against each other, using the very best produce to create culinary masterpieces.

The fair opens with a paella cooking competition, whilst other challenges include preparing a menu of the country's most famous foods, and cooking with seafood.

Baena Olive and Olive Oil Festival

When: November, annually
Where: Baena, Andalucía

Baena in Andalucía holds the three-day Las Jornadas del Olivar y el Aceite (The Journey of the Olive and the Oil), an opportunity to celebrate all things olive and all things oil.

The fair takes place during the end of the olive harvest in November, and visitors can learn about the many facets of olive and oil production, from health benefits to cooking tips, whilst enjoying practical demonstrations and tasting sessions.

Seville Tapas Fair

When: End of February/Beginning of March annually
Where: Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones, Seville

For four days over fifty of Seville's tapas bars invite you to sample their delicious snacks, washed down with cool glass of cerveza or sherry.

Nerja Food and Wine Festival

When: End of March, annually
Where: Nerja, Andalucia

A chance to savour Iberian treats such as Jamon Serrano, Queso Manchego, olives, calamari, paella and more in the coastal surroundings of Nerja, the 'balcony of Europe'.

Mora Olive Festival

A festival full of games, competitions, markets and olive-tasting sessions. There's also a chance to experience some Andalucían culture in the form of music, dancing and bull-running as well as a traditional stone-throwing contest.

Lleida Snail Festival

La Tomatina

When: Last Wednesday of August, annually
Where: Bunyol, Valencia

Every year, over 30,000 people gather for the world's biggest tomato battle. Over 125, 000 of the fruit are thrown in a little over two hours, and the results are somewhat messy, to say the least.

Catalan Cava and Wine Festival

When: September, annually
Where: Maremagnum

Coinciding with the grape harvest, the Catalan Cava and Wine Festival is an opportunity for over 400 producers and purveyors to present their produce. There's a huge variety on show, from the roses of Alt Penedés to the Riojas of Priorat.

Ponferrada Food Fair

When: September, annually
Where: Ponferrada, Castilla and Leon

A festival which celebrates the area's rustic cuisine, with hearty fare such as chorizo and chickpea stew, thick pasties and salted pork all available.

Sueca Paella Festival

When: every September, annually
Where: Sueca, near Valencia

A rice and paella competition, which attracts entrants from throughout Spain. For ten whole days, the village of Sueca is a hive of dancing, gaming, storytelling and eating and highlights include the Night of the Paellas and the International Fireworks Festival. The final day of the competition sees the International Paella Competition take place.
