A new series of the music programme Nodyn returns to S4C on Friday, 12 August with entertaining performances in unusual locations.
Singer and presenter Elin Fflur re-starts her journey around Wales inviting artists and bands from the Welsh rock and pop scene to perform in some of the country's most well-known and magnificent locations.
Joining her in the first programme is the talented young singer and songwriter, Al Lewis, who will perform three songs from his new album. He will be singing 'Colli'r Cyfle' and 'Hanes yn y Lluniau' with his full band on Talacre beach, and 'Yr Awr Fawr' as an acoustic set on top of the oldest lighthouse in Wales on the same beach.
"Performing that set was an interesting and enjoyable experience," says Al, who won S4C's Cân i Gymru/Song for Wales competition in 2007, and who is now raising his profile in the music industry in London.
"Since the new album is about the idea of belonging and that feeling of nostalgia you get when reminiscing and looking through old photos, the production team came up with the idea of projecting a series of photos on a van behind us while we sang. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out!"
Later in the series, we will see a special performance by The Gentle Good aka singer Gareth Bonello, who is performing at The Green Man Festival, held annually in the Brecon Beacons.
The series also features performances by Yr Ods, Gai Toms, Wil Tân and Gwyneth Glyn. Elin will be spending time with Lleuwen Steffan in Brittany when she performs in the Quimper Festival and chats about life in Brittany.
