Sarra Elgan - Profile
- Sarah, what's it like to work on 'Ceri Greu'? Are you a creative person?
It's a great show to be part of - I enjoyed the experience immensely. I'm constantly creating things at home - from home-made jewellery to greetings cards!
- What did you enjoy creating the most?
Everything! But most of all, I think the mobile phone holders and the pop-up cards were great, as well as the jewellery made out of safety pins and beads.
- You both obviously have a great time on set, but did you both pull each other's legs off camera?
Constantly! I'd keep telling him that rugby's a better game than football, but he wouldn't listen. I'm right of course!!
- Do you enjoy making a mess?
Mum keeps telling me that's what I do best! To get to make a mess on set though, and not having someone tell you off is great!!
- What are your favourite TV programmes at the moment and what programmes did you enjoy when you were younger?
I love watching Mawr, Hollyoaks and The Catherine Tate Show. When I was young, I used to always make sure I caught Top of the Pops, Noc Noc and Hafoc.
- As a presenter, you get to wear loads of different clothes don't you? What's your favourite item of clothing at the moment?
Mmmm. I think it has to be a pair of cowboy boots I bought on holiday in Marbella recently. They look really retro and go with absolutely everything!
- What's your favourite colour?
Well, pink and yellow always make me smile, but I love wearing browns, blacks and dark greens.
- What's your favourite food?
I shouldn't really be saying this, but everything that isn't good for me! Don't ask me why, but I just can't get enough of chicken fajitas at the moment!
- Do you have a pet?
I do, a cat named Swti! She's gorgeous….AND she understands Welsh! She lives with my parents at the moment, as well as Darcy the dog. We rescued him from a dog sanctuary.
- You also present Rygbi 100% on S4C. What tream do you support?
Seeing as my husband Simon plays for Llanelli, I'm a Scarlets fan through and through. But my dad used to play for Neath when I was young, so I was a Neath fan back then.
- Do you enjoy other sports as well?
Yes, I love watching football as well – but don't tell Iwan! When I was in school, I used to play tennis for South Wales and hockey for Wales.
- Is presenting and creating at the same time difficult?!
It's more difficult than you might think! You've got to concentrate on what you're saying AND what you're doing!!
- What's your ideal night out?
Doing anything, anywhere with my family.
- What kind of music do you listen to, and do you own an i-pod?
Yes, I do own an i-pod, and I enjoy all kinds of music. At the moment I'm listening to Girls Aloud, Keane, Embrace, Sibrydion and Cofi Bach a Tew Shady.
Iwan Price - Profile
- We haven't seen you before on S4C, how did you get the job presenting Cer i Greu - did you have to do something creative?!
I had to make a CD fly using a balloon and some glue. It sounds easier than it was, but I made a total pig's ear of it, though it was quite funny at the time!
- What's it like to present with Sarra Elgan? Was there a lot of mucking about?!
Sarra was great!! I felt quite relaxed working with her and we had a lot of laughs. There was a lot of leg pulling, usually with me going on about football being a better game than rugby!
- What was the most difficult thing about creating and presenting at the same time?
Everything was new to me so I needed time to get used to it all. The most difficult thing was making sure I didn't block the camera's view of what we were trying to do - so that everyone at home could see what was going on.
- Which are your other favourite S4C shows?
Sgorio and C'mon Midff&icric;ld
- How do you relax?
I play golf if the weather's fine - which isn't very often these days!
- What was your favourite make, and which one did you most want to keep for yourself?
The Blobs were cool - fantastic to squash! I'd have liked to keep the silhouette portrait of myself that we made. Maybe I can have it one day!
- What did you want to be when you were little, and has it come true?
Fireman Sam or Eric Cantona (ex-footballer for Man U.). And no, it hasn't come true as yet…I'm still waiting for Sir Alex to call!!
- What are your plans for next year?
To finish off my degree at Cardiff Uni and hopefully to get to create more stuff and another series of Cer i Greu.
- What kind of music do you chill to, and do you own an i-pod?
I do own an i-pod. In fact, it's always in front of me! I usually listen to some hip-hop, Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z. Welsh band Genod Droog are cool - we used one of their tracks in the programme. Also, look out for Zootechnics over the coming months, I think they're great.
- What's your favourite colour?
Red - the same as Man U.'s kit!
- What's your favourite food?
Ice cream. Mmmmmm.
- Do you own a pet?
I used to have some horses, but at the moment it's only Sana (Socks) the cat! Hopefully I'll have some more horses in the future because I loved horse riding.
- Do you keep fit?
I've slacked off a little recently!! When I return to Cardiff, I'm going to hit the gym as often as possible!
- Who's your favourite football team, and who's the star player?
Manchester United. Ronaldo (wink wink!!). Giggs is like a good wine - he gets better with age, and he'll be on fire this season!!
- What's the most important thing about August in your opinion?
The start of the football season!! United for the treble this season. Ronaldo and Rooney are still friends and they'll both be too good for everyone!! Welsh teams are looking good as well, watch out for Owain Tudur Jones at Swansea City.
- You obviously love your clothes - what's your favourite item at the moment?
My Belstaff coat, it's just too cool!! I also love G-Star jeans at the moment.
- How much gel do you really put in your hair?!
NOT A LOT - honest!! Iwan's style tip - blow dry some gel into your hair as it's drying…then style away!!
