Cooking School - Hostellerie Bérard
Michelin Star
André Michelin published the first book in 1900 and the purpose at that time was to advise the 20th century motorist about places to eat and stay in France. By 1920 the section on places to eat was so popular that Michelin set up a team of undercover inspectors and started a new category by giving stars to various restaurants.
The 'Michelin guide rouge' is the most famous and most successful book in France and it has great influence. Having just one Michelin star can mean 25% more sales turnover and to loose a star can mean financial ruin!
Hostellerie Bérard is located in La Cadière d'Azur, a small village in Provence which is situated 45 minutes from Marseille airport.
René Bérard, his wife and his two children, run the hotel and cooking school. While Danielle Bérard and her daughter Sandra ensure that your stay is comfortable, René and his son Jean-François Bérard prepare some of the best food you will ever taste.
You can combine a holiday at Hostellerie Bérard with one of their famous cooking classes, which includes food, 4 days of cooking and a visit to a vineyard, honey farm, cheese farm and an oil producer. An unique experience under the guidance of a Michelin star chef - an unforgettable holiday!
