Extreme sports are increasingly popular with thrill-seekers all over Wales and a new series, Chwa!, follows experts who get a kick out of something most of us wouldn't even contemplate doing.
Presenter Alex Jones will take us on a hair-raising ride around the globe to explore the extreme worlds of snowboarding, kitesurfing, motocross, mountain-biking and BMX competitions.
"Every week there will be a news round-up," says Alex, "including highlights of the Snowboarding World Championships, the Mountain Bike World Cup and the Red Bull X Fighters motocross competition. A special guest will be joining me in the studio every week to give the viewers tips on how to get involved in extreme sports around Wales, and we will also be setting our athletes a special challenge to test their stamina! And I have to admit that these guests are very competitive!"
The first programme is a special feature from the South of France. The action kicks off with the sun, sand and surf in South West France at the Roxy Jam festival of women's surf, music and art in Biarritz. Alex follows the world's top 48 female longboarders as they fight it out at the home of European surfing to be crowned 2008 world champion. She also takes to the sea to try tandem surfing and is soon riding the crest of a wave in the arms of world champion, Rico!
