Alex is back in the Chwa studio, and this week we're catching up with the talented bboys in Helsinki. We'll be back on the Freeride snowboading tour at Squaw Valley in the USA - and how could we forget Pritch and Dainton, they're on to their second challenge this week!

This week Chwa will be broadcasting from The Big Welsh Weekend, a mountain biking event held at Margam Park as well as this we will be bringing you the best extreme sports from around the globe! South America is the setting for the Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race where the fourteen teams will have to kayak, trek and bike accross deserted land to cross the finish line. We’ll also be learning about the Welsh mountain biking champion, Lee Williams, going over to the Bronx to battle with the BBoys and visiting Russia for the second stop of the Freeride World tour.

Chwa is back with a brand new series full of the best extreme sport and athletes from around the world. This week is the first of two broadcasts from the mountain biking event, The Big Welsh Weekend, where our presenter Alex Jones will meet the current Welsh Champion, Lee Williams. We will also be showing the first stop of the Freeride World Tour in Chamonix and will be heading over to The Big Apple to meet some of the best BBoys in the world as well as learing a bit about the history and culture of the scene.

This week Chwa! Comes from ‘Mountain Mayhem’ just over the border in Herefordshire. Mountain Mayhem is a twenty four hour mountain bike race, the biggest of it’s kind in the world, and there’s a host of Welsh bikers hoping to shine at the event this year. There will also, of course, be the usual cocktail of the very best extreme sport – the next stage of the Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, wakeboarding, but not as we know it, from Earls Court in London, and snowboarding from the middle of New York.

Chwa! is back in West Wales this week for the Aberaeron Sea Rowing Open, and this week we’ll be meeting the competition winners. We’ll be in Belgium for the third leg of the Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and the world’s best skiiers will be at Laax in Switzerland for the European Freeski Open. Also, America’s B-Boys will be in Los Angeles to battle for a place in the final of the Sony B-Boy Championships. This week Chwa! comes from the Aberaeron Sea Rowing Open, where the best teams in Wales will be competing. There will be more skiing and snowboarding from Russia in the Freeride World Tour and we’ll be in the Ukraine for the Eastern European leg of the Sony B-Boy Championships. The ‘Seat’ Kitesurf Trophy attracts the best kitesurfers to Dahme in Germany, and there’ll be motorbikers flying through the air in ‘Red Bull X-Fighters’ 2009 from Mexico. In the third episode of Chwa! The Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup begins in South Africa and we’ll be in Japan for the third leg of the Sony B Boy Championships. And who will be victorious in the first Freeride World Tour Event? All the best skiers and snowboarders will convene in the Caucasus mountains in Russia hoping to start the season in style. Also this week, snowboarder Cynyr Ifan will be joining Alex to discuss the tricks and turns which make snowboarding so unique. The second episode of Chwa! Comes from Dynamic Rock Indoor Climbing Centre in Clydach, where Alex will be joined by avid climbers Lewis Gardiner and Siôn Lewis will demonstrate the ins and outs of indoor climbing. We will also follow the snowboarders to Australia for the second round of the 5 Star Burton Open, and the B Boys will be twisting and spinning in the Netherlands in the next leg of the Sony B Boy Championships. There will also be highlights from Tasmania, as the worlds’ best surfers compete in the O’Neil Coldwater Classics. The new series begins with one of the biggest snowboarding competitions in the world. The 5 Star Burton Open in New Zealand attracts the best snowboarders from around the globe. Then it's over to the Faroe Islands for the O'Neil Surf Trip - a location that proves the main attraction for serious surfers is the surf, not the sun. One extreme sport fast gaining popularity is 'B Boy' - we'll be following the Sony B Boy Championships throughout the series and the first stage is in Korea. But there's no need to travel that far to experience the world of 'B Boy' first hand. Presenter Alex Jones will be meeting up with the H2O Crew from South Wales, one of Britain's most successful B Boy Crews.

Alex Jones guides us through the exciting Billabong Air & Style event, part of the Snowboarders 'Ticket to Ride' world tour. The best Snowboarders in the world gathered at the Olympic Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria, to prove their skills on one of the world's largest Quarter Pipes. 20,000 spectators packed the stadium to watch the masters compete for the 75,000 Euro prize. Also, Alex takes a look at the area to see what draws the snowboarders every year.

In tonight’s programme we return to Slovenia for Downhill Mountain Biking at the UCI World Cup. Then on to California for a Big Wave Surf competition, and to the Junior Word Surf Championships in France. We will finish with the Red Bull Air Race. A surfer from Llangrannog will also join Alex in the studio to talk about learning to surf and competing in the UK.

Alex Jones heads to Madrid in a special edition of the extreme sports series as she visits the famous bull fighting arena, Las Ventas, for the Red Bull X-Fighters. This is the biggest freestyle motocross competition in the world. Alex will meet some of the best riders and see highlights of the Best Trick competition where bikers such as Dany Torres, Mat Rebeaud and Busty Wolter will stun the audiences with their amazing tricks.
