As the rugby season kicks off, a new series gives us the opportunity to learn more about some of our favourite rugby players.
In the programme, filmed in front of a live studio audience, presenter Rhodri Ogwen Williams will quiz past and present international players such as Gareth Davies, Shane Williams, Gwyn Jones, Gareth Edwards, Stephen Jones, Ieuan Evans and Clive Rowlands.
In a revealing series, Rhodri visits the areas where his guests were brought up and discovers how proud these communities are of their home grown players. He also accompanies the players as they show viewers some of their lesser-known talents.
In the first programme, Shane Williams will race Rhodri around Pembrey racing track in his Jaguar, explaining how driving a car helps him relax. Shane also shares his secret love of sketching and picks up tips from artist Anthony Evans.
Gareth Edwards, on the other hand, goes on an emotional journey back to his home village of Gwaun Cae Gurwen where is invited to play with the local brass band - something his father would have been terribly proud to see. Golf-loving Gareth will also tee off with Rhodri at Porthcawl golf course.
"The programme recognises the contribution of individuals to the game in Wales and beyond, but the purpose of the series is to get to know the game's greatest heroes better," says Rhodri Ogwen Williams. "Who would have thought that Gareth Davies has always wanted to play the guitar and that Gwyn Jones wanted to be a politician when he was younger?"
The guests also bring objects into the studio which leads to a particular story. Gareth Edwards brings a spaceship which leads to very interesting tale.
