Top tips for keeping romance alive this summer
With contestants enjoying a slap up meal in a fancy restaurant and two
lucky love birds being whisked away on a sexy European city break, its no wonder
they feel in the mood for love. But what can the rest of us do to keep romance
alive this summer?
Sioned Morys, Cinio Caru producer and founder of Pishyn. Com, Wales' first
Welsh-language dating agency, offers her top tips.
- Go on a picnic Pack a selection of your favorite snacks,
a blanket and a radio and head for your favorite beauty spot. There's
nothing like a bit of al-fresco living!
- Eat fish and chips by the seaside Childhood meals can still
make you go gooey as an adult.
- Give and take Let your partner have that night out with the boys
on Saturday night, but only if he takes you for a meal on friday.
- Sweet nothings Buy your partner a little treat once in a while.
It doesn't have to be expensive- a favorite chocolate bar or magazine will
do nicely.
- Talk to each other Switch off the telly, share a bottle of wine
and have a chat.
- Be culture vultures Go to see a play or film.
- Do something exciting Arrange to go white-water rafting, learn
to abseil or have sailing lessons. Sharing new experiences gives you
different things to talk about.
- Compliment each other Sometimes we take it for granted
that our partner knows they look fantastic or are a fabulous cook.
But often it pays to state the obvious!
- Get away Sometimes the daily grind can put pressure on a
relationship. Arrange a break even if its overnight.
- Have a laugh Watch a comedy or go to see a stand up comedian.
Watch old videos of the kids when they were little or get out the old
family photo albums.
