How to use Clic

Welcome to the new catch-up service for S4C programmes. Most S4C programmes are available to view again for 35 days online free of charge, allowing you to watch whenever suits you. Here are some handy hints if you are new to the site.

  • Show/hide

    Hide Shrink Clic and place in a corner of your screen

  • Clic homepage arrows

    Arrows Use the left- and right-hand arrows in the picture gallery on the Clic homepage to scroll through our highlighted programmes.

  • Programme Categories

    Click on the 'Programme Categories' button in the black navigation bar on the left-hand side of the Clic homepage to see which kinds of programmes are offered to you by S4C.

  • A-Z Programmes

    Click on the 'A-Z of programmes' in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the Clic homepage to see the whole list of programmes offered to you by S4C. Hold your mouse over a title for a brief description.

  • Flash

    Flash – the new service runs on a Flash player. Most new computers already have the latest version of Flash installed. If you receive a prompt asking you if you would like to install Flash, don't worry. It won't corrupt your computer, it doesn't cost anything to install it and you won't have to load it more than once. Simply follow the instructions on your screen and enjoy the viewing.

  • Subtitles

    Subtitles Subtitles – wherever you see the owl symbol enabled, there are English subtitles available. Over 80% of S4C programmes are subtitled. Click on the subtitles Help button below the viewing screen in the Clic programme page for instructions on how to switch them on.

  • Alternative viewing options

    Alternative viewing options – most programmes on Clic will also be available in Windows Media Player (or other formats) for computers which don't have the technology to support Flash. Follow the link below the subtitle information on the Clic programme page for details of how to use subtitles in Windows Media Player.

  • Signed programmes

    Signed programmes – there is a separate section including all the currently available signed programmes. Click on the section in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the Clic homepage to bring the list up on your screen.
