Rovers Return
"It was a pretty amazing experience to be on Coronation Street because I'd been a huge fan of the soap for years. I couldn't believe I was walking into the Rovers Return. The place is iconic.
"Working with Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) and Alec Gilroy (Roy Barraclough) was a brilliant experience. Roy and I became great friends and worked in pantomime together and we still send Christmas cards to each other."
Since leaving Coronation Street, she has gone on to enjoy a successful career as an actress, playing popular character Cassie on the soap Pobol y Cwm and starring in a string of stage productions.
Hedd Wyn
One of the biggest highlights was playing Lizzie Roberts in the S4C film Hedd Wyn which was nominated for an Oscar in 1994 in the Best Film in a Foreign Language Category. Sue remembers meeting some of the stars of the big screen at the Awards.
The programme also includes archive footage of Sue as a young singer in Welsh TV shows from the 1960s with the well-known singer, Treflyn Jones. One particular clip from the HTV Wales news and magazine programme Yr Wythnos features Sue and Treflyn performing a protest song on the Cob, Porthmadog as part of a campaign to defend local people's rights to fish and bathe near the sea wall.
