1902: Many of the settlers lost faith in the whole project after the floods of 1899 - 234 emigrated to Canada, and later on in the same year, 120 settled on the island of Choele Choel, to the north of the Chubut and in the state of Río Negro.

1903: More flooding.

1909: Llwyd ap Iwan, the son of Michael Jones, is shot by bandits.
