120 new immigrants from Wales arrive aboard the Orita. The 'Golden Age' of the Chubut Valley begins, with the CMC, a cooperative run by the farmers, buying and selling produce at a profit.

The World War affects Europe. This meant that there was very little commercial competition both domestically and internationally, so the Argentine economy flourishes - but after the war, this situation changes rapidly for the worse.
