1990's: Fragile democracy in Argentina, though the economy enjoys a boom time with the peso tied to the dollar. There is a strong revival in interest in all thing welsh and an increase in the numbers prepared to learn the language - the Welsh Office, then the Assembly, funded the provision of teachers with the help of the British Council and the Wales-Argentina Society.
