The Character

Character - Bili

Word to describe the character - Honest

Go on... Bili Wheeler or William in full. He’s a kind man, ready and willing to help any one, handsome and if you’re looking to buy a second-hand car, who better than Bili Wheeler to buy from or sell to (tongue in cheek!) But he has a dark side too. He manages the garage. A small local garage which has seen better times but Billy believes that better days will be seen again. He has two salesmen working for him – Manny and Balders – and their stupidness annoys him sometimes. Bili has taught them everything they know. He’s married to Val and his daughter Jo Jo also helps in the garage but she doesn’t pull her weight.

Why did the script appeal to you - The skilfulness and humour of the script.

What’s it like to be in c&i - It’s a great pleasure to work with Opus, they’re such a lovely company. This is a real drama with flashes of humorous script. The script by John and Catherine Tregenna is so skilful, has been well written and is credible. It’s groundbreaking writing and it’s lovely to see a drama based in the Gwendraeth Valley.
