ELIN FFLUR

Singer-songwriter Elin Fflur may be taking huge leaps forward in her music career but it is her small steps in the company of Iolo Williams which come under the spotlight when they walk the paths of Anglesey.

Born and bred on the island, Elin takes Iolo on a walking tour of the coastline starting at the seawall at Holyhead and heading past North Stack, a place which brings back fond memories of her childhood on the island. On the walk Iolo points out some of the fantastic bird and sea life, including guillemots, razorbills, puffins and seals and the spectacular coastal views along the way.

Talking about Anglesey, Elin says, "You can’t fail to be inspired by this island and its amazing views out to sea. Whenever I'm looking for inspiration or trying to write a sing I come out here to this coastline around Holyhead and it all seems to flow and become a lot easier.

"My family have long connections with the island and my great grandfather was the village policeman, famed for swimming in the sea everyday whatever the weather. Funnily enough I also wanted to become a police officer before my music career took off.”
