A trip down Wales' Memory Lane

In the new series Cofio guests conjure up memories of all parts of Wales, from Cardiff to Llangefni and from Rhyl and Bangor to Gwaun Cae Gurwen.

Popular presenter, Heledd Cynwal will be introducing the famous individuals, chatting to them and inviting them to share their memories using film clips from the television archive.

Famous faces

Some of Wales' best-known figures take a trip down Memory Lane in S4C's new series Cofio, starting with rugby legend, Gareth Edwards.

As well as Gareth Edwards, Wales' First Minister, Rhodri Morgan, singers, Caryl Parry Jones and Heather Jones, poet and farmer, Dic Jones, weather presenter, Siân Lloyd and actors, John Ogwen and Siw Hughes, will be among Heledd's guests.

Memory Lane

There are some very tender moments, for instance, when John Ogwen gets quite emotional as he watches a film of particularly personal interest.

And Wales' First Minister, Rhodri Morgan gets a bit of a shock when he sees an interview with his brother, Prys, from 50 years ago. "I didn't recognise him," says Rhodri Morgan.

Siân Lloyd views footage of herself winning the Crown at the 1975 Urdd National Eisteddfod and, for the first time ever, sees an interview between her and Vaughan Hughes about her success.

So join S4C this summer and visit different areas of the country with programmes which celebrate our communities, characters, culture and landscape.
