Nefyn Agricultural Show
Held annually on May Bank Holiday, Nefyn is one of the first shows of the season. Catch highlights from Botacho Wyn farm in this programme.
Mari Grug and Daloni Metcalfe will present the programme and meet some of the organisers, competitors and visitors at the showground.
Daloni Metcalfe presents farming and countryside series Ffermio and farming talent show Fferm Ffactor. But she also farms with her husband Wil and their four children in Tudweiliog on the Llŷn Peninsula, just 5 miles from Nefyn. They breed commercial sheep and cattle, and although they do not compete at Nefyn Show, the whole family enjoy the day out.
"Nefyn Show is an important event for the local community where we see the whole of the Llŷn Peninsula coming together. It's a nice, homely little show," says Daloni.
As well as the horse and livestock competitions, the show also has an excellent poultry tent and cooking and craft competitions. Daloni will also catch up with members of Harlech Medieval Society as they re-enact scenes from the past.
During the programme, we meet some of the people competing in the show, such as Iwan Williams from Cwm Pennant. He will be competing with his Welsh Cob stallion, Monty, for the first time this year.
