Dwayne and Andrew's intense fitness programme

Programme three

In the latest programme of Cwm Sâl Cwm Iach, which follows three families from the South Wales Valleys as they look to improve their way of life, fitness and exercise is the main focus.

Professional rugby training

Presenter Iolo Williams arranges a coaching session from Wales' international rugby stars, Dwayne Peel and Andrew Bishop with 17-year-old Lloyd Thomas from Glyn Neath trainee electrical engineer Lloyd as he's a bit reluctant in committing to the fitness tasks.

Despite being a promising rugby player playing for the Ospreys under-18 squad, according to Lloyd's sister Carys, he's fond of unhealthy food and of lounging in front of the television.

"Training with Dwayne and Andrew was a great experience," says Lloyd. "Although I only had a short training session with them, it was very intense and physical. I slept for hours as soon as I got home."

Pen-y-fan

Among the challenges faced by the families is climbing South Wales' highest peak, Pen-y-Fan in the Brecon Beacons.

As the families congregate at the foot of the mountain, there are some worried faces. Will everyone manage to conquer the mountain or has Iolo pushed the families too far too soon?
