Chris: I like dressing up especially in the evenings. If I go out to a restaurant in Bridgend or Cardiff, they all turn round and say 'wow, what's that love?!' The reaction is fab!

Nia: Is standing out from the crowd important to you as far as clothes go?

Chris: It is important to me because I think I'm right and that others are wrong! I'm the clothes guru and I get a lot of good feel factor out of clothes.

Chris: These trousers are fantastic for chapel. The chapel go-ers think that it's a tribute to Gibraltar - 'Rock'?!

Nia: This shirt is fantastic and I think my Grandmother has a bag similar to this one!

Chris: I like boxer shorts, g-strings and thongs which have motives on some of them - I've a pair with 'hunky boy' on them and some diamante thongs! Some people say to me "you can't wear things like that at your age!" and I say "watch me love!"

Nia: What's the appeal with wearing clothes that have rips in them?

Chris: I like them, they're mod aren't they? "Keep young and beautiful", that's what they say! I bought these with a friend in Durhham. The girl behind the counter said "For your son love?"...I said "For me!"

Nia: So, if you dress young, you feel young?

Chris: Yes, you have to make an effort! Someone once asked me "Haven't you got a fanclub?". I said of course and it doesn't just have an ordinary name like 'The Chris Needs Fanclub'. I said it's called'The Chris Needs Friendly Garden Association Affiliated Limited Twice'. They said "I'll join you love". I have a 'garden' of around 30, 000 members. When I tour, I use a motor home. It's a really handy place to have a shower, change of clothes, watch Pobol y Cwm as well as hiding!

Nia: Can you flamenco?

Chris: Well, I try! Everytime I do a show, I just go for it! I just want to show people that this is the real Chris Needs! They like seeing things from Spain because I play a lot of flamenco music on the radio. I wear a pair of bellbottoms and cuban heels for this. Everybody loves the bling and the wild clothes.

Nia: When are you going to use a bag like this?

Chris: I do use it to make a statement!

Nia: You have more accessories than me!

Nia: How does gold make you feel? Smart?

Chris: Like Dolly Parton said, it takes a lot of money to look this cheap!

Chris on clothes...
I used to go to Gibraltar on a weekly basis to shop. I managed to spend £6000 in one spree between hiring a car, very nice hotel, eating out, shows and clothes of course! I think there's something wrong with me as far as spending on clothes goes, I need time in a hospital. But I do look at the clothes sometimes and they bring fond memories back so I don't want to get rid of them, no way jose!
