As a style consultant Huw Rees, from Llannon near Ammanford, makes a living from shopping. Over the years he’s worked with some of Wales’ biggest celebs – including Cardiff songstress, Charlotte Church. He’s also a familiar face to S4C viewers as the Wedi 3 and Wedi 7 style consultant.

My whole life is about shopping, all I do is shop. I get up in the morning and I shop, be it for models, for someone who’s pregnant, shopping for personal shoppers, and of course in that time I also look out for something for myself too - so I’d say that I was born a professional shopper!
It must be a fantastic feeling to be able to see someone be transformed like that whilst you style them...
I have to say I sometimes feel like I’m getting as much out of the experience as the people who pay me for my services get.
What about your personal wardrobe then?
My personal wardrobe is very easy to describe, black. All I ever wear really is black, and everyone who knows me knows I wear black. They would never dare to buy me clothes if they were anything other than black, but if someone were to buy me something, say a purple sweater or a blue shirt, I’d never even take them out of the packaging cos all I wear is black!
You obviously spend most of your time shopping, but you must do something to relax too?
A big part of my life of course is horses, that is competing in horseshows, looking after the horses, and all that takes place on the farm. So the clothes I wear on the farm are completely different to what I wear all week. Image is the last thing on your mind as you prepare for the shows.
