How often do you buy things, take them home, try them on and think 'Why did I do that?'

Never. I never think that. I always know exactly what I like. I enjoy clothes that are well-cut and well-made. When I buy something I can see exactly how it'll go with a lot of things in my wardrobe.

Siân on style...

I'll see something in a shop or a magazine or something and then go for that image - that's what I tend to do. I really liked the clothes that the character of Carrie wore in Sex and the City, actually the clothes were the reason why I first started to watch it.

What was it about Carrie's style you liked?

The fact it was so eclectic and that she put a lot of things together. I thought that was brilliant.

Siân on clothes

I got this jacket in New York, it's Roberto Cavalli. At the time I'd never even heard of Roberto Cavalli, but he's massive now isn't he. It's a surprisingly warm jacket, but since I'm someone who feels the cold quite a lot I wear this little gillet from Marks & Spencers over the top of it in winter.

Do you go for designer or high street clothes?

I think there's a world of difference between designer and high street clothes - but there's a world of difference in the price as well. I certainly don't buy them just because they're designer or to impress anyone. I would like it if I didn't have such expensive taste because I'd have much more money, but I can't help it...

Siân on suits...

Even though I've had this (a Vivienne Westwood suit) for ages, the look is still very fashionable now - the 50s glamour, the pencil skirts and it's just great for now.

Where do you shop in Cardiff, and do they put things aside for you by now?

Body Basics and Jon Ian for shoes - they just sell a lot of the things I like.
