Additional Fashion Tips

Be sensible...

When it's sales time, don't be tempted to buy a piece of clothing just because it's cheap. A lot of people think it's a bargain to buy something even though it doesn't fit well or doesn't flatter them. Be sensible and think - would you have chosen that piece if it were full price? Does the piece fit well and does it suit you?

Don't ever buy a piece that's too small with the intention of loosing weight. It's very infrequent that people do this and it'll only collect dust in the back of the wardrobe!

Be clever...

When you're shopping, think about the cost per wear. I think that this is a sensible way of shopping. If a t shirt is £30 and you're sure you'll wear a lot of it then the cost per wear is going to be very low, maybe £1.50. But if you buy a pair of shoes with a high heel or expensive shoes, it's likely that you'll only wear them about three or four times which will mean that the cost per wear might be £50 every time you get a chance to wear them.

Spend more on the basics, the simple things that won't date, for example a handbag, jeans, black trousers, suit, black or camel coloured shoes. Things that combine with colour well and together.

Hair and make-up...

It's worth spending a little more on a good foundation and make up as well as a good haircut. These are the parts of you that are always visible - we can choose our clothes/shoes/handbag every day but you have to keep your hair tidy and is a sign that you care about your image.
