Ysgol Bro Helyg pupils hit the right notes with only men aloud's Tim.
Pupils at Ysgol Bro Helyg in Blaina were given a musical master-class by Only Men Aloud and Only Boys Aloud's Musical Director, Tim Rhys-Evans.
During the afternoon, years 5 and 6 pupils took part in breathing and rhythm exercises before practising an African song and Tim's arrangement of the popular rugby song, Sosban Fach.
Over 130 parents and locals saw the result of Tim's workshop with the pupils in a special evening hosted by S4C presenter Nia Roberts. Then, pupils and members of the audience were given the opportunity to ask the Musical Director about his job, his new S4C series with Only Men Aloud, his future plans and the latest project, Only Kids Aloud.
Tim, originally from New Tredegar, says: "Singing can have a positive experience on people of all ages and we had a lot of fun at Ysgol Bro Helyg learning new breathing and rhythm techniques and performing with them as part of S4C's Calon Cenedl events."
