Luned Tonderai

Luned was raised in Hendy, near Llanelli, as one of five children. Her family has travelled to America, Canada and Argentina. These experiences have influenced Luned's outlook on life, in particular the time she spent at a school in Canada.

"Travelling when I was a child has made me want to meet people who are different to me and to experience new things and do the unexpected."

Immediately after finishing her A Levels at Ysgol Y Strade, Llanelli she went to London to study Drama at Goldsmiths University. On her return to Wales she began a career in the media and then began presenting youth programmes on S4C during the early days of digital broadcasting. Since then, she has produced and directed a host of programmes including children's series, documentaries and family series. Her latest projects include 'Babis Bach Sian', a documentary about premature babies. Luned, her husband and their children, Lili and Reuben, have been going to services at Highfields Chapel in Cardiff for four years.

Luned hasn't done anything similar to Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol during her career.

"Of course, I hope people will enjoy the series, but more importantly I hope the series will show that everyone can have faith, faith is something that is within reach for each and every one of us. "
