Llangrannog Urdd Campus
Tonight we see a very special assembly from the Llangrannog Urdd Campus in Ceredigion. Local audiences will sing a number of hymns that have a special meaning to the movement, and also reflect the meaning of the Urdd motto – be faithful to Wales, to fellow man and to Christ.
Among the hymns is Pen Yr Yrfa – Dysg I Mi Garu, Ei Thir a’i Broydd Mwyn, and the Evening epilogue hymn – Nefol Dad, Mae Eto’n Nosi. Hywel Gwynfryn will be chatting to several members of the organization – among them Rhys Llwyd who has visited Romania where he worked in a home for orphaned children as part of the Urdd's humanitarian program, and also Rhys Taylor – winner of the Bryn Terfel Scholarship.
Rhys will be performing a song from his latest CD – Amazing Grace. Ger Y Lli are the local group, who will be singing an arrangement of the hymn Gwahoddiad and an African song – Sy a Hamba – De’n i’n Cerdded, we’ll hear a song by Robat Arwyn commissioned to celebrate 200 years of the establishment of the near town of Aberaeron – Gweddi Pysgotwr. Presented by Hywel Gwynfryn and leading the audience in song will be Greg Roberts and Rhian Dafydd.
