MARKETS AND STALLS

The National Association of Farmers Markets can give you a detailed list of markets throughout Wales. The site explains that there is a general acceptance that the stall-holders would have grown, bred, caught, pickled, brewed, or baked the goods themselves. The emphasis is on creating benefits to the local community by helping local producers sell their goods near the point of origin.

Many people might be surprised to learn that Wales¡ capital city has its very own farmer¡s market that is held on the first Sunday of each month (apart from January) from 10am until 2pm. Their aim is to go weekly as soon as possible and confirmation of this will be announced on the website. The market is based in the Riverside area of Cardiff and boasts a wide range of produce, some of which are organic. All market dates are listed on the front page of this site.
