HOMEMADE PIZZA

INGRIEDIENTS

2 jars of passata
1 sweet red pepper
1 sweet yellow pepper
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic - chopped or crushed
mozzarella cheese - either grated or diced
fresh basil
fresh oregano
mushrooms
pepperoni
3 lb/1.36kg of flour
25floz/1¼ pints of lukewarm water
7½floz/215ml of olive oil
3oz/85g of margarine or butter
2oz/56g of yeast
1½oz/42g of salt
METHOD
For the dough - add the butter/margarine and salt to the flour and mix well. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the yeast, water and oil together. Add the yeast mix to the flour and work it all in well in order to create the dough. Ensure that the dough is smooth and elastic. On a floured surface, roll out the dough and place onto a round baking tray. Press the edges to make a lip around the rim of the dough. Spread the passata over the dough, and then add the cheese, garlic oregano, onion, mushrooms, pepperoni and basil. Ensure that the ingredients are spread generously across the pizza. Put in an oven at a temperature of 180ºC for around 10-15 minutes.
