INGRIEDIENTS

425ml full fat milk
1 onion - peeled
6 cloves
½ Bay leaf
¼ tsp of mace powder
25g of butter
25ml single cream
100g of white breadcrumbs
METHOD
Push the cloves into the onion.

In a saucepan, boil the milk with the onion, bay leaf and mace. Simmer for 15 minutes. Take off the heat and leave to stand for 20 - 30 minutes.

Sieve the milk into another saucepan. Add the breadcrumbs, butter, cream, salt and pepper and mix everything well with a wooden spoon.
