BEEF IN CHILLI AND ORANGE SAUCE

INGRIEDIENTS

2 beef steaks - sliced into strips
1 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp plain flour
pinch salt and pepper
4 oranges, extract the juice of 4 oranges and the peel of one orange
2 finely chopped spring onions
1 finely chopped clove garlic
1/2 inch finely chopped ginger
1 tbsp dry chilli (flakes or crushed)
1 tbsp caster sugar
3 tbsp oil
METHOD
Combine the cornflour and plain flour in a bowl and add salt and pepper.

Place the beef in the flour and mix well until the meat is well covered.

Heat the oil in a frying pan or saucepan and add the beef to the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes or until they are brown and crisp.

Place all the ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan and allow to reduce over a medium heat, until it becomes sticky.

To serve, place the beef on a plate, pour the sauce over the beef and serve with rice, noodles or vegetables of your choice.
