PORTHGAIN PASTIES

INGRIEDIENTS

1 pack of short crust pastry (or make homemade pastry)
450g crab (50% white meat and 50% brown meat)
50g leekes – cooked/fried
100g potatoes - boiled
2 teaspoon wholegrain mustard
1 orange – zest only
1 egg – beaten
METHOD
Roll out the pastry to a thickness of 2cm. Using a pastry cutter or a 6 inch plate cut 4 circles to make pasty cases.

Mix all the other ingredients (except for the egg) together in a bowl.

Share and place the mixture between the four circles.

Brush the edges of the pasty cases with the beaten egg and fold the edges together to create a pasty shape.

Place the pasties in the oven for 15-20 minutes on 180ºC/350 Fahrenheit/Gas 4.
