METHOD
In a big saucepan brown the beef in the oil. Add a pinch of black pepper, paprika, chilli powder and the stock cubes and mix well. Add the onions and the garlic and cook until brown. Mix in the puree and cook for a few minutes before adding the sugar, tomatoes, chillies, cumin and the water. Mix well and bring to the boil and leave to simmer on a medium heat for 1 hour. Add the potatoes and beans and simmer for a further 30 minutes. Before serving add the lime juice. Serve with rice or chunks of fresh bread, a spoonful of sour cream and fresh coriander.
