In the two programmes, eight well-known faces get to grips with the skill of cooking professionally under the watchful eye of Dudley Newbery and his fellow judge Bryn Williams, owner of Odettes restaurant in London. They’ll also learn more about the food on their plate, and the high standard of produce available in Wales.

One of the best known faces in Welsh broadcasting. She is a presenter, producer and columnist and she’s also the editor of the nightly live magazine programme, Wedi 7.

Giant of the rugby field Derwyn Jones is originally from Pontarddulais. Derwyn, aged 39, winner of 19 caps for Wales and a Cardiff player until 2000, is now the director of two companies and a television rugby pundit on big games and in S4C’s Y Clwb Rygbi.

Dewi 'Pws' Morris
Dewi ‘Pws’ Morris is a comedian, actor and musician. He describes the whole thing as ‘a terrible experience’. “However, I enjoyed it in a masochistic kind of way,” he adds.

Elfed Roberts
National Eisteddfod Chief Executive, Elfed Roberts, originally from Penygroes, near Caernarfon. Elfed has been National Eisteddfod Chief Executive since 1993 and now lives in Cardiff.

Elin Fflur
Elin Fflur is a popular singer from Llanfairpwll, Anglesey. She performed the winning song in the 2002 Cân i Gymru Competition and she also presents the music programme Nodyn on S4C.

Siân Lloyd
Weather presenter Siân Lloyd comes originally from Maesteg, and now lives near Newtown. Although she's acquired new cooking skills on the programmes, Siân won't be able to put them into practice over Christmas as she'll be working for six days running.

Siw Hughes
Actress Siw Hughes is originally from Llangefni, Anglesey. Siw is best known for her role as Kath Jones in Pobol y Cwm. Siw has also appeared in many other programmes such as Ffalabalam, Caryl, Heno Heno and Codi Pais.

Tudur Dylan
National Eisteddfod chaired and crowned bard, Tudur Dylan is twice winner of the Chair and winner of the Crown at the 2005 National Eisteddfod. Tudur is a teacher at Ysgol y Strade, Llanelli and lives in Carmarthen.
