Owain’s tad (father) and mam (mother) are separated. Owain is unhappy and now wants to see his mother, Catrin, who is staying at Bryncelyn.
Dr John and Eirlys, rheolwr y feddygfa (the surgery manager) have been in Ireland for the weekend – but there is tension between them.
Dr Hywel Morgan tells Manon, his former lover, that a hearing to decide Owain’s custody will be held the following day.
Catrin is shocked to hear that her mother, Dot, is going to support Hywel at the hearing.
Myra, who works at Llŷr’s club has toothache and has arranged to see the deintydd (dentist). Llŷr asks her to stay at the club as he has a meeting but she refuses. Has Llŷr arranged to see his estranged wife, Manon?
Myra, Danny’s former wife, is in real pain after an extraction. When she sees Llinos, Danny’s present pregnant partner, a shouting match follows. Myra claims that Llinos is too old to be having a baby and this worries Margaret, Llinos’ mother.
Manon’s furniture is in storage at Bryncelyn and she has arranged to loan it to Steffan. Llŷr has misunderstood the reason for Manon’s visit. He secretly hoped that the two would come together again.
In the hearing Catrin and Hywel fall out and things are said which worry the judge. The case is adjourned for reports.
Llinos agrees to tests to ensure that her baby is OK but the midwife is worried. A doctor tells Llinos that the baby has Edwards’ Syndrome. Termination is mentioned.
