The drama ‘Teulu’ is set in Aberaeron and follows the Bryncelyn family at home and in the local surgery. This is the second series. The author is Meic Povey.
Llŷr, Bryncelyn’s youngest son, and Dr Manon who works at the surgery have just got married. They hear that their new house is ready but is Dr Manon really pleased?
Hywel, the doctor, Catrin his wife and Dot, his mother-in-law are having breakfast. Dot wants to know whether he’s coming home for lunch.
At the surgery, Hywel has other plans for lunch. What is his relationship with Manon? Is she coping?
Eirlys, the surgery manager, has agreed to undertake a huge inoculation programme – but, with two doctors away, they are already short staffed. Getting a locum at short notice will be difficult.
Llinos is Hywel and Llŷr’s sister and owns the local restaurant. She lives with Danny. They are having trouble finding a plumber.
Lydia, Danny’s 15 year old daughter from a previous marriage, wants cash again but Llinos is unhappy that Danny lets her have her own way.
Llŷr has a few staffing problems in the clwb nos (night club) he has built on Bryncelyn land.
Eirlys, the surgery manager, is in favour of asking Dr John, who had a heart attack at the end of Series 1, to return to work part time. Hywel is strongly against the idea – but are his reasons purely medical?.
Eirlys visits Dr John to make him aware of the situation in the surgery.
