Llŷr, Bryncelyn’s youngest son, and Dr Manon have just got married but Manon has just withdrawn their offer on a new house. Why? Hywel, a doctor at the surgery and Catrin, are talking. Catrin mentions that Manon has withdrawn the offer on the house. Why does Hywel react so badly?
At Bryncelyn, Margaret is making sandwiches for a day trip to [highlight=Swansea – the estuary of the Tawe river.]Abertawe[/hightlight]. Richard is reminded to pick up Owain, Hywel’s son, from school.
Dr John, who has just recovered from a heart attack, calls to see Hywel’s family and is greeted by Catrin and Dot, her mother. Hywel has left early.
Hywel and Manon meet outside the surgery. Why is Hywel so angry that Manon has withdrawn the offer on the house? He calls her ‘[highlight= – stupid. In north Wales you’ll hear ‘gwirion’.]twp[/hightlight]’.
Danny and daughter Lydia discuss Lydia’s singing debut in Hywel’s club and arrange to have a birthday meal. They don’t intend to invite Llinos, Danny’s partner.
Manon delights in telling everyone that Eirlys is engaged but Eirlys explains that she doesn’t want to wear her ring in the surgery.
Llinos, the only daughter of Richard and Margaret, Bryncelyn, is on the phone with her brother, Hywel. Why does she want to meet him?
