Back in September Heledd Cynwal had a challenge for the people of Bethlehem, Ffair-fach, Llangadog and Llandeilo – to put on a Christmas show and raise money for local charities.
After a slow start, people have been busy rehearsing and preparing. And Mrs Davies has been watching everyone and everything. Will she be happy with the show?
Three firemen have been raising money. They have travelled down from Nasareth in the north – through Aberystwyth, Lampeter and Llandeilo – and they have reached Bethlehem in the south. How much money have they got?
Very many people want to see the show; they have to put on two shows – one in the afternoon and one in the evening. It’s a cold day but everyone is full of fun.
Everyone is nervous before the show. The donkey has arrived but will it go on stage?
The Nativity Story starts with the Angel Gabriel coming to see Mary.
Mary and Joseph travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem – and the baby is on the way.
Bethlehem is busy and they have to find a place to stay. But is there any room here?
The shepherds are in the fields talking and the lambs are making a noise. Will they hear the message of the angels?
The three wise men have arrived and they and the camel are tired. But where’s the gold, the frankincense and the myrrh?
Here’s the women’s choir to sing to the Baby Jesus…
And here’s the men’s choir to sing too…
And here are children all in their colourful clothes.
The end of the show and the cast and choir are all on stage. Has everyone enjoyed the show?
In Programme 8, Heledd Cynwal looks back at the story of Seren Bethlehem.
