In this programme Iolo goes around the coast of Wales looking at the landscape under the sea. All kinds of things live there.
Rhosneigr (Môn – Anglesey). Iolo swims to the sea bed to see an old ship, the ‘Norman Court’. Today fish live around the old ship.
Caergybi – Holyhead. Mud is on the sea bed in the harbour. The mud is home to crabs and anemone. There’s a lot of rubbish here too on the sea bed!
Afon Menai – The Menai Strait. The water here is full of all kinds of creatures.
Ynys Seiriol – Puffin Island. The sea around Ynys Seiriol is home to the grey seal. Iolo goes underwater to have fun with a young grey seal.
Dinas Dinlle (near Caernarfon). Caer Arianrhod was here near Dinas Dinlle. The sea is shallow and the sun makes the water warm. All kinds of seaweed grow here on the sea bed.
Bae Ceredigion – Cardigan Bay. Near Pwllheli there’s sand, mud and shingle on the sea bed. This is the home of fish that use camouflage – the scorpion fish, the dragonet and the tub gurnard.
Bae Ceredigion. Near Harlech Sarn Badrig goes out to sea for 12 miles.
Bae Ceredigion. Sarn Cynfelyn near Aberystwyth is home to the spider crab.
Cei Newydd – New Quay. Here the sea is home to mussels, crabs, lobsters and sea bass .
Bae Abercastell, Penfro – Abercastle Bay, Pembrokeshire. On the sea bed kelp grows.
Ynys Sgomer, Penfro – Skomer Island, Pembrokeshire. This island and the sea around it is a marine reserve.
The sea around Skomer is home to all kinds of fish, sponges, seaweed, anemone and starfish. It is also home to this sea fan.
Aberdaugleddau – Milford Haven. The sea is very deep and the port is very important. There are many old ships on the sea bed and they are home to all kinds of creatures.
Gŵyr – Gower. Near Port Einon there are reefs. Here there are small creatures, such as the scorpion fish and starfish.
