This is Defi Lewis. In the last episode Defi is living in Pen Talar with his daughter, Mari. His wife, Awen, died in 1997. His parents, John and Enid Lewis, have died too. Now it’s 2009 and Defi is 47 years old. He’s working as a writer.
This is Douglas Green. In the last episode Doug is living in Pen Talar with Siân, Defi and Mari. Doug’s parents have died too. Now it’s 2009 and Doug is 47 years old; he works for the Carmarthen Journal.
This is Siân. Siân is Defi’s sister and the two are very close. Siân lives with Defi, Mari and Doug in Pen Talar. Siân is an Assembly Member.
This is Mari. Mari is Defi and Awen’s daughter. Mari is in college in Carmarthen.
This is Irfona. Irfona lives in Rhydycaeau. She was running the shop and post office in the village but she had to close the shop. Her son, Iolo is a doctor in Carmarthen. Her husband, Iolo, died in 1980.
This is Iolo. Iolo is Irfona’s son. His father, Iolo, died in 1980. Now Iolo is a doctor in a hospital in Carmarthen.
This is Berian. Berian is a Plaid Cymru councillor for Carmarthenshire County Council. Berian wants to close Rhydycaeau School and move the children to a new school.
This is Maldwyn “Brwmstan” Pritchard . In 1961 Maldwyn had been having an affair with Lorraine, a 16 year old girl. Defi and Doug had seen Maldwyn and Lorraine together. Maldwyn is the chairman of LPP. LPP want to build a holiday park in Rhydycaeau and help to keep the school open.
This is Robert Evans. Robert works for the company LPP.
This is Rhodri. Rhodri is the man who had Awen’s heart after the accident.
